Xiangyang-Jingmen High Speed Railway Starts Trial Operation

At around 8 a.m. on August 23, trial train No. 55451 departed from Xiangyangdong Railway Station, marking the official start of the trial operation of the Xiangyang-Jingmen High Speed Railway. The full opening of the line is now in countdown.

The line starts from Xiangyang city in Hubei province and ends in Jingmen city, with a designed speed of 350 km/h and a total length of 116.23 km. It is an important component of the "Hohhot-Nanning High-speed Railway," one of China's eight north–south and eight east–west high-speed railway corridors.

According to officials from CR-Wuhan, once completed, the railway will form a major high-speed rail loop within Hubei province. This will be of great significance to supporting the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and accelerating Hubei's role as a key strategic hub for the rise of central China.
